Ultra Violet Paint Pouring - 4 EASY Puddle Techniques

I have always wanted to try paint pouring, and it s fun, messy and takes a ton of paint, but fun!!  So with my crafty friend Tina Walker doing a challenge to use the new Pantone color Ultra Violet I thought it would be a fun use for using the color of the year.

Here is the video on how to make these fun pours.

For all the pours I used the puddle method.  Each pour I did something a little different to see if they would work better or have a different result

1) Multiple Puddles Plus added Paint from Bottle
My first pour I did 3 small puddles and I also added a little blue and black paint straight from the bottles without adding any pouring medium to the paint.  I also add a very little paint to this pour so i moved it around a ton to get lots of extra lines.

2) Three Large Puddles
My second pour I used more paint and did 3 large puddles before swirling the paint around.

3) One Giant Puddle and Heat Gun
For this method I used one giant puddle and a ton of paint.  I then used my heat gun to move the paint around to give it coverage.

4) Adding Glitter to the paint with Multiple Puddles
I added some chunky glitter to the silver paint to see if it gave it a different effect.  It turned out really cool!  The glitter shows up a ton better in person on on the video!!!

Each pour had something different about that I loved.  I really am not sure which I like more.  I took the extra paint in the tub after the pours and painted some playing card for future ATC's and some plain cardstock as background paper for fun.

I used a heat gun on the paint as it was drying to get some cool texture.

I love this background paper, if would have made more but I ran out of drying room on my desk!  Now just what to use this cool paper with, hmm....
